Asthma Law
It is the hope of GASN that all School Nurses and parents of children with asthma know this law. It is also our hope that the parents would work with their School Nurse to develop an Emergency Asthma Action Plan.
Georgia Senate Bill 472 allows children who suffer from asthma to use inhalers without getting permission from a teacher or a nurse. The bill also requires the children to have a prescription from a doctor and permission from their parents to use the inhalers themselves.
